Miss Christine Lagarde, the former head of the IMF and now the head of the European Central bank urged Europe to "invest in the future by strengthening common institutions and empowering the world's second-largest economy. Monetary policy alone cannot and should not be the only game in town, in addition to the infrastructure we need research and development and education" ( Financial Times, 11/23/2019)

Our government was following the directive laid out in the IMF manual under her stewardship the need to streamline(shut down public entities that serve our people), privatize (sell-off of our prized assets), build-up security to keep social protest in check(they expected unrest) and to maximize tax intake. How can a government follow that prescription and have growth? We have seen from reports that impoverishment has increased and instead of social explosion we have murders and mental illness skyrocketing!!! To explain this dysfunction our prosperity government along with the private sector owned media is pushing lies and grand announcements to give people the feeling of progress. Most residents of Latin America are revolting against the same toxic prescription that our country is taking, our country will continue to implode socially, morally and economically.
