Post Michael Manley we saw the gradual erosion of the State structure through privatization. The leaders of both the JLP and the PNP touted the miracle workings when things are run solely by the private sector but with the advent of the coronovirus the reality is shocking. It must be embarrasing to Andre Holness to see his fake prosperity promises goes up in smoke!! He was never prepared for this plus he had no clue on the survival habits and conditions of the impoverished before putting the quarantine in place, thus the chaos and erractic behaviour of the residents.A meeting should have been held with all the heads of the various state institution on the need to attack this threat with objectives laid out. Meetings with the community leaders and officials to get their input on the best way forward so as to get everybody on board, it must be a coordinated meeting of the minds, this approach would have mitigated any possible reactions.  They must be cognizant of the fact that our people will no longer tolerate this reality post Corvid19.
