The election campaign has begun in our beloved country with the young and inexperience national leader, Andrew Holness against the tested and seasoned opposition leader Portia Simpson. The continued cover up of both political parties of acts of cover up, treason and economic mismanagement continued unabated. They are constantly reminding each other of their misdeed hoping the voters will be duped into giving them another choice in satisfying the real interest of the wealthy in Jamaica.   Mr. Holness similar to miss Portia Simpson had an opportunity to transform the foundation of this colonial tribal legacy which culminated in our country having the distinction of having one of the highest debt ratio in the world, a decaying social infrastructure, rampant crime and murder, alienation of our youth, high unemployment, covert prostitution of our teenage girls and boys, cultural degradation and a decimation of our middle class and manufacturing sector. This is the background of which our new prime minister spoke.

The Prime minister did not touch on any of this issue. He chooses the petty and tribal path similar to his mentor, Mr. Bruce Golding. He spoke nothing about how the country can earn money to pay its bill!! The same old politics of borrowing and then taxing the people to death to pay off the IMF and the local rich. The opposition was the initiator under the short live Portia administration of most of the trade arrangement that Golding kept in place which benefited our country and now continued under Mr. Holness. It is clear that we will have a better hope under a Portia administration although the cover up will continue until our people decide to end it
