For the first time in our national life the opportunity for the government and opposition to assert its patriotic duty to call for a full investigation into the dudus debacle and apologize for the years of implementing a western parliamentary/tribal/garrison system that encourages corruption, elitism, and dictatorship within both political entity. This investigation must be carried out by the the DPP. The cover up must be exposed and the people behind it must be charge!! This act alone by the parliament will regain the confidence and impartiality of this institution. Both political parties are to be blamed for this crisis. Both practice this garrison politics since we attain independence from our colonial master in 1962. None of the Member of Parliament live in the community that they represent!! This state of affair is what encourages donmanship. The new United States administration is pushing for western align countries to clean up their act and Jamaica is no exception. Parliament must act in the interest of our sovereignty and let the justice department take full charge of this extradition affair. Jamaica must show the world that we can handle our affair without pressure from our imperial neighbor. The gleaner And Observer must stop its hypocritical role and look at our national interest as the main priority. We are familiar with the role of the gleaner in its treatment of our national hero the late honorable Marcus mosiah Garvey. We are also familiar with the support that both newspapers give to Mr. Golding and Mr. Patterson in their quest to sell all our assets to foreign interest. Both newspaper must examine the root cause of this crisis and realize that the political system supported by them and the private sector is the problem, dudus is the resultant product. After dudus what next? Dudus came after Jim brown, his father. All effort must be made to use negotiation and patience so as to avoid the killing of innocent black Jamaican inside Tivoli Gardens.
