The Jamaica Patriotic Movement on behalf of the people of jamaica congratulate Nicolas Maduru for winning and affirming the policies of Hugo Chavez. This victory is a welcome one for Latin America,the Caribbean and all the worlds poor and working class people who are demanding a change for a better life. The Petro- Caribe agreement of which Jamaica is a signatory is in safe hands and will help in the stabilization of the region economy. The United States should should abandon its dictatorial approach and recognize the result of the peoples democratic choice.
