The pandemic in Jamaica will uncover the stark reality of poverty with no help or solution coming from the Government. The IMF/ Private sector economic apartheid is a failed economic experiment in other countries and will definitely fail here. Our country cannot withstand this model, it crushes the human spirit to enable a few to become rotten rich. The IMF called for the withdrawal of the Government from our economy and to have only the private sector to dominate, it has failed.  A genuine Democracy does not have so many persons as squatters, so many of our professionals migrating, so many murders, so many suicides,  so many foreign companies owning our assets and rampant corruption. Our country needs to advance democracy by allowing workers and ordinary citizens to be involved in the decision-making process.
