In discussing the rising murder rate in our country, the gleaner and section of the elites consistently promoting tried and failed solutions to our people's problems, they are part of the problem, not the solution. The Political-Economic system since independence failed to liberate the black majority from endemic poverty and racism. Our government has yet to realize that the division and lying to our people to keep this vampire system afloat to benefit the mostly white elites and owners of our economy is not working. They are in shock at the murders, the decay of public institutions, robberies, migration, and the creeping devaluation of our dollars. Mr. Kerr  Jarret, the SOE is not the only thing in the toolbox to stem crime!! Given that it is a social problem created by the profit-motive system, it then must be a social approach, the investment in human beings, education, employment, and manufacturing.
