The Jamaica labor party should have each of its members take up residence in the garrison for a month and observe the daily activities of its residence and it will conclude objectively why they got blown away by the Peoples National Party. They will see the blight of the environ, the unemployed youths hanging out on the corners rolling our popular “Jamaican cigarettes”, the hunger among the children, the traumatic experience of constant fear of being robbed, raped or killed, the struggle of single parents to make ends meet, the lack of health care and counseling facilities, the terrible road conditions, the clogged drainage system and the lack of physical representation in the community.
Our Organization detests the tribal framework that characterizes our political journey since independence and believes that the west minister model does not fit our cultural, spiritual, political and economic aspiration. The People National Party should take this victory as an indication of our people’s maturity and their desire for inclusiveness and accountability. The imf/private sector economic model is the reason of our people deteriorating living standard and pauperization. For the Jamaica Labor Party to remain viable it must put our national interest first and protect the most cherish creator of value…LABOR.
