Our movement since its launching at the University of the West Indies has called for the cancellation of the IMF debt and the funds saved to stem the rate of the impoverishment of our people. The Covid19 that is causing havoc around the world will inflict more pain on poor and developing countries, it is time Mr, Holness exerts pressure on Trump to cancel the debt. Our mainstream media have never reported to our people how this money is spent. Who benefits from the fund? Why is it never challenged? How much is owed? At what rate of interest are we paying for this loan? How much was the initial loan? What is the duration of this loan? How much interest has been paid already?  Our people must be informed of our nation finances so they can take part in the discussion on investment priorities that benefit our people.
