The Jamaica labor party is trying hard to decide which one of these two gentlemen is best suited to give the bitter medicine to the Jamaican people. Audley Shaw in various interviews opined that the government should use the IMF funds to pay the bond holders (Private Sector) while Mr. Holness warned the country to prepare for the bitter taste that will follow after taking the IMF medicine. The music that they are both listening to is the ones played by the International Monetary Fund and its Surrogate, The Private Sector Organization of Jamaica.
Their selection of music is causing havoc with the daily lives of Jamaicans and the overall health of our economy. This economic formula perfected under the Patterson Regime and Continued under the Golding mismanagement saw the purchasing power of the working and middle class decimated, rising murder rates, massive layoffs, Rising suicides, alienation and massive migration. The competition for the leadership of the Jamaica Labor Party is devoid of any National Policies that will improve the overall condition of our country. Neither have any interest or ideas to move beyond the failed policies of the past. Their mindset corrugated with chauvinism, corruption, tribalism and subordination to their imperial master have consigned them to the stone age of ignorance.
The solution of our problem has to start with the legal frame work left over from the British colonial era. Our constitution has to be change to allow for more active participation of our people in the governing of our country. The whole state apparatus is infected with the tribal trappings of our colonial past which was design to have our country stuck to the policies of our slave masters both old and new. Our Government bodies should be independent of the dictatorial pangs of both political Parties. The situation will only get worse until this tumor is remove from our body politics.
