The Cuban revolution ushered in a new dynamic within the backyard of the United States' imperial dominance. It garnered the hate and despise by the worst elements of the ruling elite especially the white nationalist of both the Republican and Democratic Party. Fidel Castro did the impossible when he initiated as part of his revolutionary program to eradicate poverty, a health care a education and agricultural program to benefit the majority of poor and working-class Cubans.  The United States' intent and not having this humanistic experiment succeed carried out the worst economic blockade ever on any nation and attempted assassination of the young nation leaders. 

Of the 189 countries of the United Nations, 187 countries approve of the illegality of the Embargo!!! The US unilaterally the crown king of International law refused to comply. Since the advent of the most rabid leader of finance capital, Donald Trump, the United States has increased its illegal acts by blockading the shipment of oil to Cuba and pressuring countries to deny the humanist gesture of health assistance during this pandemic, an affront to human decency.  The Cuban health care system has garnered the respect of the world by responding to the world health crisis without strings attached and have trained health official in mostly third world nations. We as representative of our peace-loving people of Jamaica, Jamaica Patriotic Movement, call on our Prime Minister to condemn the acts of Donald Trump and his administration, to denounce the blockading of Cuban imports and to immediately lift the embargo!!!  Cuba has always responded to our people's needs when asked and as trusted friends, we must defend them when they are unjustly attacked, our friendship with Cuba must never be sacrificed for a promissory note.
