The Jamaica Patriot, the only online newspaper to predict the deterioration of our economy with the adoption of the prescribe medicine by the IMF. Where are the Jobs being created? Why is the crime rate going up? The private sector was so adamant on having this agreement only so that they could be paid, they knew that employing our people would only limit their astronomical profit margin. The government should reverse course swiftly to become the guarantor of our people’s safety and well being by going on a job creation program. Our tax structure should be geared towards taxing the wealthy ten percent and using the funds to invest in our infrastructure. Twenty five percent of the profit earned by foreign entity should be invested in Jamaica!! Jamaica cannot afford to be raped constantly by both foreign and local profiteers then to be massage by high debts.
