The continuing privatization of our food will only exacerbate the problems. Successive government has pay lip service to our agriculture sector. The pandemic sweeping our island is already witnessing hunger and unemployment coupled with the tax payment to be paid out, over 200billion, to the private sector on the back of our people. Our people are already feeling the negative effect of COVID 19 and will need government assistance to ride this out. It is well document that the Corporations are making more money now while using covid19 as a cover to commit their selfish act.  The government must ban most food products  coming into our island and use the savings to put into health care and education.
