Our prosperity prime minister, Andrew Holness is realizing that talking points and cozying up to racist presidents will not solve the mounting problems that are staring him in the face on a daily basis. Grandiose plans will not help either!! It will take a non-tribalistic approach to tackle this monster that both Parties are guilty of. It is open knowledge that the SOE has never worked in our country, the stubbornness of our prime in not looking and accepting statistics and facts is exposing his lack of understanding and knowledge of the situation. 

The solution can only be attained with the involvement of officials of both parties, the dons from all affected communities, the community leaders, victim of crime and violence, head of youth groups, labor leaders, selected members of the private sector, church leaders and police officials, this should be the approach!!!  The government must end the applying of outmoded and unworkable strategies just to gain political points!! This national crisis cannot be solved by meeting with civil society and the private sector alone, they don't live in the affected regions, they are not the ones that are robbed and murdered!!! Our Prime Minister must stop politicking and begin to solve our national crime problem!!  We must move urgently to pass a youth employment act wherein the combination of private and government effort is utilized immediately to increase employment. The army must be deployed along with our marine corps to stem the flow of guns into our country and officials that are involved must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!! These are the position of the Jamaica Patriotic Movement.
