Jamaica is faced with a outbreak of chickunguya that caught the health minister off guard after reported lack of response and medicines to deal with the concern of the mostly impoverish patients.  This fluish like virus comes from the aedes aegypti and the aedes albo pictus mosquitoes. The symptoms range from fever, joint pain, rash and headache. The Minister, a Howard University trained dentist cried a loud that it is not his fault. This statement is correct but the government that he represents is responsible for the state of affairs that currently exist. On close examination the embattled health minister is unaware that in life everything is related. There is a relationship between privatization of our Health Care system and the lack of information available to make the correct assessment. There is also a relationship between the IMF agreement and our Health care apparatus. The IMF call for cuts in our social services which include the health sector. How can one account for proper information if you are not in control of the entities that posses such. This virus has exposed the weakness in our healthcare system and your government need to put the health of the majority of our people as top priority.
