The Sunday gleaner business edition ( 10/9-10/2021) reveals that politician Golding and Bunting are joint investors in ReRun trading, a two-year firm that is looking to break into the billion-dollar ranks. The gleaner did not specify the percentage of shares these gentlemen possess. The gleaner through its reporters laments the wide-ranging corruption and inefficiency in our governance unable to see the connection between the politician and their desire to maximize profit in their corporate entities.   How can they pass laws to benefit our people while they are involved in companies that seek to benefit from the public purse?  It is obvious that in going forward to rid ourselves of corruption we have to change the rules of the game, all politician must disclose their assets and remove themselves from all corporate entities before vying for power, this approach is the best practice of genuine democracy.
