It is an indictment on our leaders since independence not to create the condition for our people to be united as one to build a prosperous country. There are a certain section of the ruling elite and their servile servants in parliament from both parties that detest the idea of black-skinned Jamaicans coming together, they rather see them killing themselves, illiterate, becoming migrants, locked up in prison and remain slaves in their own country. The fact that only less than five percent of our population owns all the wealth attests to the reality on the ground. Bob hated to see the poor killing each other so he called for the peace concert, he fought hard for it!! They emphasize the importance of his musical genius but downplay his desire for peace and unity among his people. Nothing has changed must since he departed, they still come around during election and showcase their wealth while promising benefits that they will never deliver. Our people are poorer today while the rich are richer and their foreigner partners are buying up our country.
