On Sunday December 4th The Bruce Golding endorsed former Minister of Education gave the Nation a Speech that could have been written by a child that belong to the colonial British period of our History. The speech reveals a man wrapped in all the tribal garbs of division, corruption, lies and boredom. It was a good thing that the audience came with their noisemakers which gave the function a sense of life. Mr. Seaga must have been comforted knowing that he did state that there were no competent leaders in the Jamaica Labor Party. The Jamaican people know that both political parties have failed in their duty to put our Country on a sound Economic platform. What the country needed to hear was the new Prime Minister views on solving our high unemployment, crushing debt obligation, teenage delinquency, homelessness among our youth, hunger, democratization of our colonial political system, our position on the rapidly changing global economic system, our position on climate change and the newly created Latin America and Caribbean entity.
Mr. Holness miss a great opportunity to transform himself from a caricature of a moribund political culture that put the interest of a privilege few at the expense of our country into a national leader by being informed of what the majority of Jamaicans are facing due to the parasitic relationship with the International Monetary fund. He failed to mention the pain that will await our people if he forms the next government, thus the rush to have the election so he can fulfill the mandate of the IMF, the private sector and the United States.
